Correct. Sort of. As well as being fictional it was in set in fictional Scotland (Summerisle! That took them 12 seconds to think up ). I felt most would have heard of WM but you have to be a bit of a film nerd to have heard of TPOTZ so that trumped the locational discrepancy. In addition the WM is widely believed to have Celtic origins and historic mentions range across totality of the Celtic areas which, as I'm sure you know, includes Gaul, the SW, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
