Getting to the Weekender
Hi all
Not long to go now Top tip: although the hotel's address is on Temple St, you can't get to the car park from there. If you set your sat nav for the hotel's address, expect to spend the afternoon riding up and down the road while we smile and wave! The entrance to the car park is on Beaufort Rd, which runs parallel to Temple St and is behind the hotel... dead easy to find when you know where to look https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.24...7i13312!8i6656 In case you've not already planned your route - and I know it's a long one for some of us! - we'll be going this way: - ride to H Cafe - A4074 then A40 and A424 to Fish Hill - Tea break at the Wayside Farm Shop, WR11 7RT (beware gravel car park) - A449 north of Worcester, then A443 and A456, then turn right onto the A49 nr Ludlow - A489 to Newtown - A483 south to Llandrindod Wells Fingers crossed for the weather... latest forecast for Sat is dry, maybe sunny, definitely cold. Heated kit is on charge. See you all tomorrow |

Lovely and sunny here in London now, unlike yesterday with rain, snow, hail, thunder and lightning in one day!
Hope you guys get the beneficence of the weather gods and have a great weekend |

Tank filled, Kriega bags packed and attached to the bike, routes loaded into satnav. All ready
Wishing everyone a safe and non-snowy ride/drive to Wales tomorrow. Starting to wonder whether I'd have been better off promising snow (and ending up with glorious sunshine ...) Maybe I've not charred enough leeks in a sacrificial offering to the Welsh weather gods ... |

Was lovely and sunny when I took the dog to the park, then it started snowing, then lightning struck literally 25ft from where I was walking and the biggest clap of thunder I ever heard, followed by a rapid mass exodus of dogs from the park, pursued by panicking owners all to the soundtrack of multiple car alarms.
What is going on with the weather! |

I expect you've ridden through a mixed bag then, judging by the hail storm which has just peppered the shed roof and the balmy sunshine that now prevails.
I'm just fitting belts btw. then its pretty much road ready, but needs a shakedown run. MOT booked for tomorrow morning. Hope to get there at some stage but may not be 'til sunday. |

awesome, well worth a dead goat, it ****ed down while we were having lunch and the following ride was lovely, we dived into the excellent but odd 'Dom's Bike Stop' just outside Leominster on the A44 for coffee and avoided another brief shower. Cold but mostly dry :-D
