I'm with Big Red on this, it's not going to rain, but wrap up warm as it's only going to be 10 degrees.
I will be transporting my two wheeled generator instead of my motorbike to power my heated, electrical, clothing for the weekend.

Gritting!!!!
At the risk of being accused of sabotaging the rideouts I have just been on the Powys council website and they are gritting the higher areas tonight from 9pm. Bearing in mind that most of the area is 'high' this is probably most main roads around the Hotel. I know that this won't affect the hardy 'all-year-round' riders but for me, bikes & salty roads are mutually exclusive.
It's really disappointing that the weather is still so crap at this stage of the year.especially with the amount of work involved in organising it |

Well, I've just checked the latest forecast and it seems to be mildly more favourable than it was a day or two ago.
Not by much, but its a positive trend and may even continue. The proposed gritting seems a bit excessive at this time of the year and is obviously bad news for those of us who have only just finished (nearly) a winter rebuild and currently have a pristine monster. My newly polished ally swinger is feeling a tad nervous of the corrosion potential. Hopefully, they'll decide against the gritting due to the slightly improved forecast. For me, its still a bit touch and go whether the bike is finished (and mot'd) in time, but I'm hopeful ... and keen to try and dodge the weather. |

There's a petrol garage up the road and it costs £2 to jet wash your bike if you want to wash it off after a ride.

if you're that worried about a wet weekend, buy a bucket and sponge from the local b&q*, don't jetwash a bike (except maybe a motocrosser)
* other faceless diy superstores may be available |

Don't forget, there's an award for cleanest, shiniest monster this year... though I think we should probably disqualify anyone who doesn't come on the rideouts in case their bike gets grubby!
Mine certainly won't be getting washed at least until I get back. Perhaps not even then. |
