Bristol Italian Automotive Festival - 23 April 2016
Bristol Italian Automotive Festival - 23rd April 2016
On April the 23rd, 2016, The Italian Auto Moto Festival will be held again on the streets of Bristol. In 2016, we will be celebrating the work and achievements of two famous Italian companies: Vespa and Lancia. It will be seventy years since the birth of the Vespa scooter: designed by an aircraft company, as a cheap and clean way of getting to work, this machine has proved to be a timeless icon of Italian style, and one which has transcended all trends and fads. 2016 also celebrates the 110 years which have elapsed since Lancia was founded by two racing drivers, in Turin. This company's cars eventually came to forge a solid reputation for both technical innovation and boldness, which have always been wrapped in Italian style. Some of the greatest men in motoring history have been closely involved with Lancia over the years: from Jano, the legendary engine designer; through to the great coachbuilder, Pinin farina, and Guigaro, the legendary body designer. The company has produced many iconic vehicles over the years, and the 2016 festival in Bristol, will feature a wide range of their models, for the public to appreciate, free-of-charge, at very close quarters. There will also be extensive displays of the other great Italian car and motorcycle manufacturers - from Ducati and Moto Guzzi to Ferrari and Lamborghini. http://www.italianautomotoclub.co.uk/

I've been to this a couple of times but not for a few years so I'm keen to go this year. The ride-in is always fun (and noisy) as is the starting and revving of the engines during the gathering.

I've pencilled it in.
It's a fair way from Leicester, so whether I actually get there or not might be dependant on the late april weather. |

Noted though it might have to be on the Aprilia, gf has got a dodgy coccyx and the seating is more comfortable for her.

Anyone definitely going? Family weekend booked so I will be there. Hoping to do the ride-in from Gordano but weather-dependent.
