You did okay for that price with the oil lines, especially if the cooler came with them..
Extra points for the Motobatt too. That front mudguard looks quite good. A nice grey would work well on the blade, with the black trims and white wheel....Bit tricky if you are going to use two different coloured tanks though. Minus points for fitting the exhuast pipes before polishing though... Oh and there's a screw missing out of the belt cover..

yep - lines and cooler and postage from the US.... i was pretty chuffed....
exhausts.... yeah... i was a little impatient there.... they're not too bad though.... are they...? and yes... the missing screw out the belt cover is a little annoying... the tang on the inner part is broken so there's nothing to screw into funny you should mention grey for the fender - i'm going to go with Abarth Campolovo Grey for the bodywork.... should go nicely with the red frame/white wheels.... plus it's keeping to the Italian roots Spare tank, the missus wants done in white... i'll just get another front fender if she ever wants to swap them out at any point... bit of a change now and again, keep the bike fresh for her |

Bodyworks back
got some nice goodies to swap over from the "spare" tank to the original now its nice and grey.. didnt notice at first - i was originally focused on the filler cap: but then saw it had a nice ali sender nut too... First look in her new clothes My favourite mistake: the side vents were tatty as when i got them... so much so i wasnt sure whether i'd put them back on - there was even a small crack in one of them... but persevered and rubbed them down, and a few coats of clear lacquer and just saw how they would turn out - 2nd coat of lacquer, and I pick up the wrong spray can and start spraying them black... ooo i swore.... just as i was about to reach for the thinners, noticed it actually looked like quite a nice effect and meant i can hide the crack with filler! Few small extra bits and bobs to sort out before shes completely finished, but can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel couldnt help myself for a shot of the two italians too (although the Guzzi looks a little less glamorous next to the Duc...) |

Monster looks good, not sure about the grey. Looks better white. Guzzi looks like a cross between a childs toy and a tractor, sorry not a fan of those, very overated Imho.

must admit, i was unsure about the grey at first, but the more i look at it the more i've come around to it (which is just as well really) i guess..
think im going to have to stop putting the Guzzi next to the Duc though... (i just like their engines ) |

Please don't show that last picture again of the Le Mans. I always wanted one since parking up next to a brand new one in 1978 when on my popsi fizzy. It was just like that and my 1st Italian love.

The Monster looks fab!!!
The V50 is Guzzi's Scrambler and looks fresher than ever in my eyes. As for the Le Mans, half motorcycle, half bi-plane and even cooler now than it was back in the day- I want one!

They say you shouldn't meet your heroes but the Le Mans is everything I expected; uncomfortable, heavy & slow by modern (or even 20yr old) standards but it has that raw feel (like 90's Ducatis ) that seems to be missing on modern bikes, particularly so the more cylinders they have. And, no I won't show that picture again, how about this one...
