Service time, not happy
So put my bike in to my friendly non-dealership mechanic i trust him more than a dealer.
It went in for an annual service, front tyre, mot (first one) and disappointingly (at only 4700 miles) steering head bearings. He phoned yesterday, bikes ready for collection, however he said the bearings were a right PITA to get out. Caused by water ingress the water was black and the bearings were badly rusted. He's got them to show me I'll take pictures and post up. He wondered if I pressure wash my bike, which i dont. But again i I'm suspicious the dealer i had it into last year had. Has anyone had any similar issues. I'm a little bit annoyed tbf, if that's it sorted fine but if they go again with the same issue I'll no be happy. |
