Half vs full exhaust system maybe? A full system with big bore headers properly tuned can get you close to 10% more on a stock motor a half system would be a lot less. A full system will also get you loads more mid range torque which is what really matters in normal road riding conditions as previously pointed out.

It obviously has more than that. Open k&n, polished ports, and a full system back it up. I have dyno printouts before and after fitting the power commander and it picked up 6hp when it was.....obviously the lighter engine internals have freed up power too.....

that adds ups then

picked up about 8hp with pc, open exhausts and top off airbox

as for polishing ports that can wait until the top end needs to come apart

vernier adjust of cams is good for 3 cheap hp

But like said, it's also increased torque, and really smoothed out the curve. It's a pleasure to ride now, as before it was really crappy around town

There you go then, polished ports and a full exhaust system will give you close to 90hp and that's about it from that motor pretty much unless you want to rebuild it every week , if you are a max hp bragging junkie and want anymore than that then you will be looking at major engine work and the headaches that brings.

Some head and valve work can give you some more but ultimately its all about gas flow and thermodynamics and then to get more of both you have to go to 4 valves, I think they may have tried that already but there was too much heat generated?

No idea pal. I did the modifications to the engine I was happy with, without ruining reliability...... She's never let me down! I did notice iridium plugs made a huge difference too...

If I get a £2500 offer id sell, but I'm not looking to sell yet.... She's my baby after all
