Hello from The Wild Wild West
Good morning all from The Wild Wild West of Wales.
I hope you're all gonna forgive me - I have a 1997 M750, which I am butchering in an attempt to make it fit my 6' 3" frame a little better. Once I have found my way around here I'll start a thread so you can see the sacrilege I am attempting to perform, and then the purists can put me on their hit lists. My Monster has been in bits for over 4 years while I start/stop the butchery process so I am bound to be in need of help to remind me how it all goes back together!! Hope you all won't hate me too much for what I'm doing to my bike. Cheers for now Taff666 |

Hello and welcome
Monster butchery is to be applauded. There are so many unnecessary bit fitted as standard, it's wrong not to get the hacksaw out! |

Welcome.
How radically are you chopping then ? I ask because I'm only 1.5 inches shorter than you and my 750 fits me ok. It does have flat bars and rearsets though. Anyway, the 750s make a great bike, particularly on the twistier roads such as will be in abundance around your neck of the woods. Fab'lous. |

I'm just trying to make it a bit more "upright" Think new Ducati Scrambler type of stance. I've got some 25mm risers for the rear and have raised the handlebars with taller risers (maybe too tall!?) and fitted higher Renthal bars. |
