This will be my first Weekender Alan. Can you give me an idea when the fun kicks off and winds down again?
I was thinking of riding down at a leisurely pace on Friday and heading off again Sunday afternoon but I don't want to miss too much, so a vague notion of the itenary would help me decide how many nights to book. Do you know if the hotel has a good vegatarian menu? Hope the Hotel is fairly flexible...It's a long way ahead to book.! Last edited by Mr Gazza; 06-11-2014 at 06:17 PM.. |

The rooms are available from 2pm on Friday, Saturday we will have couple of things to do (not arranged yet) but probably ride to coast and ride to local castle ?? evenings are spent socialising . Sunday we will have National ride out on a chosen route and stop off for lunch etc. afternoon is spent voting for bike awards etc and more socialising ! Maybe good to take advantage of 3rd night discount and leave on Monday if possible. I will agree menus with the hotel and food looks very good, we do have fish on the Menu but I have also asked for vegetarian option. Weekenders are great fun and you get to meet lots of people. Hope that helps Alan |

Thanks Alan....Yes it does help.
Might give Friday a miss and head off at the crack of Sparrow's Saturday morning. Sunday sounds like the "main" day. A vegatarian "option" (singular) sounds like something weird with a lot of cheese.......I asked if they had a vegatarian MENU.. Going to fun whatever though...Are you thinking of having a look at Dungeness?... one of Englands wierdest wildernesses.? |

I will agree the menu, we will have four choices of starter, main and puddings, I have asked for a vegetarian option, do not think they will do separate vegetarian menu but I will ask. Sunday is the main day |

In my experience most menus are either paper or card and therefore fully vegetarian

Thanks for the extra info Alan...I feel that i am putting you to a lot of trouble.
I had a quick look at thier veggie menus on thier site and found them a bit wierd and cheesey.. It made me think I might prefer to go B&B and grab something in the evening somewhere fairly close. I can call the hotel myself to see if I can sort something, unless you would prefer to do so? No problem paying deposit and balance via yourself inc UKMOC donation if I do go for B&B. Sorry to be an awkward customer...Always one aint there?... |
