Plop Enduro
Who is up for entering this?
https://www.facebook.com/PlopEnduro Getting an ACU licence is easy. If you can spell your own name then they will give you the licence. Then all you need is one piece leathers and a ACU starred helmet (all UK helmets have this I believe) And Anglesey is a great track. Lets get a MONSTER team together! (Perhaps we can make a C90/Monster hybrid that will clean up, put some silverwear in the club trophy cabinet)

Anything that requires me to look at face-book is definitely to be avoided and treated with total contempt

A couple of mates did a fun enduro on similar beasts. One survived the others frame snapped after about 30 mins due to enthusiastic use.

What a plan!!!
Could well be up for this although the weekend of the 18th May is scheduled for Lydden on the Classic Calendar but depending on what other CRMC meetings I decide to do, potentially I could be up for this.
2014 Race Licence renewal is done ready to send off after the Christmas post has calmed down and if I do it then transport for the bike is no problem if required. Who's got bike we can 'borrow' then??

You don't have to do it on a race bike as at most circuits the ACU course is done during a track day (which you're still part of) and it's simply a case of answering the multiple choice paper during the lunch break and then afterwards you do a few laps where you're followed by one of the instructors to prove you're a competent rider- you don't even have to be that fast- just not dangerous. Simples.....do it!!!

Does it have to be a C90 or could you use something like this?

Since this was posted I've gone into this a bit further as I think it will be a fantastic excuse (like I need one) for a jolly boys weekend away racing in the future.
So here's the latest information I have for those tempted to un-leash their competitive side. You don't need to have an ACU licence- your normal full motorcycle entitlement will suffice. You don't need one piece leathers either- two piece (presumably with a full zip) will satisfy the scrutineers. No textiles though. New type ACU Gold stamped helmet (two black lines round the stamp) Gloves and boots and you're good to go. All the bike related info is here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...op%20Rules.pdf And there is even another meeting this year for those speedy enough to get a bike sorted: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...%20Form%20.pdf For those that still aren't convinced that this would be a cracking laugh for a few hundred quid split between groups of four then just look at the photos here: http://www.thebikeinsurer.co.uk/moto...duro-anglesey/

As far as I know there are only two classes, one for relatively standard 'C' models with a maximum capacity of 90cc and an 'Open' class for fully modified bikes not exceeding 110cc. All must have the semi auto three or four speed gearbox. I don't even know of that many other step through bikes that are similar other than Yamaha's 'mate' range but the T80's shaft drive so limited on gearing changes even if it were to be accepted and the chain driven V70's are two stroke (not a bad thing if allowed). I know Suzuki did one years ago but it's really only Honda that's stayed with it having sold a Ga-zillion of the things!
