Thank you UKMOC!
Just wanted to give you guys an update on the racing side of things from us.
Some of you VERY kindly 'crowd' funded to get a very talented lad - Connor - out on our 1198R & the RS towards the end of last season, where he rode really well. Fast forwards to this season & a kind sponsor came forwards to help out with entries for him for the 1st half of the season and also UKMOC & Continental tyres helping out to start with. Connor did SO well on the big bikes over the 1st 4 meetings, that one of the teams currently running bikes in 3 classes at BSB approached AK to ask if they could 'poach' the lad, which of course AK agreed to. Connor then rode one of their bikes in the stock 1000 class last weekend at Oulton, tho not winning he accredited himself well on the unfamiliar machinery, in the 2nd race was setting lap times to match the Superstock record from last year! (there were only 3 test sessions before qualifying) They are SO impressed with Connor that they are now taking him on straight into British Superstock at the next meeting - Knockhill. So, if it had not been for you guys here with your genuine help & best wishes, this talented lad would still be sitting on the side lines. Thank you UKMOC To add, we managed to snaffle up another equally talented rider for Oulton, who had not ever ridden the litre bikes - and he popped the bike into 2nd in the 2 races there and should be free for the next meeting too, at Rockingham over 25 - 27 July |

Well, Connor will be racing at Knockhill this weekend in the s/stock 1000 class (no idea if televised or not) but its his 1st time there ever, so the team are not expecting lots of him.
The other lad who rode for us at the last meeting - James Folkard, will also be riding at Knockers on a s/stock 600, then coming back to clamber onto the 1198R at our next meeting which will be at Rockingham over 25th to 27th July. Thanks once again for everything you guys did |
