replacing clocks

Hi all!

Im having some trouble understanding the process of installing some replacement clocks

I have read this thread:

and i still cant seem to understand it. slob posted the most detailed instructions i could ask for, yet im still a bit confused.

I'm on a 620Sie and have some brand new clocks at the ready. If anyone has a simplified process that i could do to get them on i would be very grateful.

also, does the total mileage transfer or do i start from 0 again?
