Hi! from London
Hi All
Just wanted to introduce myself, Italian living in london (N1 area) for 4 years now, being scootering all my life and always postponed the upgrade till now. I met the 696 when i rented one for a bank holiday weekend a few months back, and it was instant love. A couple friends had japs, but when changing around there was no question, on which one I was the best. Then really it was just a wait for the right one to pop up.. Bought my 696+ used (2001 - 6,000 miles) a couple weeks back, went straight to Ray at Rosso Corse who basically gave it a full lookover - i also met a couple nice guys from the forum but completely forgot names sorry. So now all kitted up and with the wallet much lighter i am happy to report it feels like new! Just can't wait to put some serious miles on her. To all thanks a lot for the great wealth of info in the forum, i've been poring over it way before buying my Monster in the first place. Gutted i skipped the tunnel run yesterday but hopefully will be around for another one. All the best -Alex PS - sorry, i could not resist to the instagram temptation :P |

Ciao Alex,
I was one of the guys at Rosso Corse on Saturday, adding all the blings to the S2R I didn't know you were Italian, haha! It feels quite silly when I speak to another Italian fella in English for the whole time only to realise later we're both Italian. Benvenuto nel club and see you around! |

Thanks for the warm responses from everybody! In terms of tips, any nice runs that can be done fairly easily out of north london (think a half day in weekend or a couple hours in early morning / evening weekdays) to bring a fellow monsterista along will be much appreciated! He still needs to join the forum, but am sure will win him over with this. -A |
