Spanner icon - leave or not
Hi all,
Just got my 696 and the spanner icon came on but it was serviced faily recently. I thought of getting it to a dealers to have it switched off but then thought I know when the service is due next and once I have had that service then it will just appear again in time. Do you guys leave the spanner icon on and thats it, I cant see the point of taking it to a dealers to have it switched off only for it to come on again in the future. Any thoughts and things that have happend to you all would be appreciated. Thanks |

I dropped into the dealer when passing and had them reset it. Seat off, plug in the computer, checked for error codes and reset it in under 5 minutes with no charge.

Left mine on for about 9 months - had my bike serviced mid June last year, spanner icon then came on in September at the magic mileage, and left it until I had it serviced at the end of May. I know I've had the bike serviced on time or ahead of schedule and have the Snells stamps in the warranty book to prove it.
