Hello
Hi,
I have just purchased a new Monster 1100 Evo and traded in a FZ1 S. I'm due to collect the bike tomorrow. The only extra I have ordered is the Smoked Screen, not sure how much this reduces the airflow? The bike is in Red/White. I'm planning on adding a luggage option (I do tour quite a lot) and would welcome suggestions. Regards veggie Previous Bikes (this will show my age) T250 Hustler GT380 GPZ900 CBR600 R1 FZ6 FZ1 and I raced CBR400 NC23 and NC29 and also the FZ400 |

Thanks for your reply, I currently use the Ventura system (which works well) but this time I was thinking of using the Ducati bike specific kit if possible.

Welcome! I use semi rigid DP tank bag, side panniers with rack and kriega tail pack. Solid piece of equipment (easy to fit), which gives you in total over 60l.

I have the Ventura racks fitted to my 1100 EVO. And have used they system on previous Monsters before. You obviously know how good and easy it is and it's very easy to fit to the EVO.
I can't recommend highly enough vs the other soft luggage options I see other club members using. And a big welcome to the Club. The weather should be great for the next week. I fitted a extended PUIG screen which certaily does help, but isn't the most attractive addition, but as I use a satnav all the time it helped to deflect buffeting which was making it vibrate too much. I'd also suggest a 14 Tooth front sprocket to help with slower speed control. A very common alteration to Monsters.

Just got back, I turned a 25 mile trip in to just over 150 miles
I have never ever been so impressed with a bike so quickly, within 1 minute I was grinning, its all I could have hoped and wished for on two wheels, it tips in and turns soooooooo nicely. Thumbs up massively Will post pictures tomorrow, veggie |

I have ordered the Ventura luggage brackets which happily fit to my existing pack rack, so result.
A little bit of advice concerning a larger screen, I ordered the smoked Ducati screen...... But it's quite tiny compared to what I was expecting, it fits on with just two screws/Allen bolts. What do I need to be able to fit a much larger screen please? A fairing? Any and all help much appreciated Regards Veggie |

Don't think you can go wrong with the ventura system other than having to have most of it on show all the time. I use Kriega like probably most monster owners on here it seems. Versatile and removable quickly and adaptable. Enjoy your new bike too and welcome
