New member Codsall, Staffs
Hi to Everyone,My name is Tony,I have recently purchased a monster,it's an S4rs tricolore,I have been lurking around the forum for a few days, and reading lots of interesting posts. From reading and putting together little bits of history I've got,it appears that my bike was originally owned by a member on here,I'm very pleased with the bike, although it's very different to my previous bike,CB1300s,brilliant bike but a bit too heavy for me now,(old fart 62)still have 1989 VFR 750FJ,and '08 CBF1000F,

Hi and welcome,
I'm a newbie as well - just bought a Monster 1100S - my previous bike was the same as yours Honda CB1300S. Just too heavy - I'm 58 - needed something lighter. |

Hi Denis,I'm 62, bought the cb when wife used to pillion, now she rides cbf1000,it fell on me twice when putting it away in garage, didn't damage bike but scraped skin off my back and bruised knees,so started looking for lighter bikes,do you like your new bike?mine makes me smile a lot,but has a bit of an appetite for fuel, combined with tank about half size of cb,always planning next fuel stop!sorry no pics yet waiting for son to come and help me post some.

Yes, CB13 is a big bike , I wouldn't put it up on the Abba stand ( had to get my son to help).
Ultimately it was the sheer size and weight that made me sell it. I prefer the Monster. Light, powerful, fun , agile - small tank range takes some adjustment, bit everytime it comes out of the garage a big grin is inside the helmet. I love it. Should have got one a while ago, always like them, but was put off by some of the adverse reprots on the 'net. |
