good cheap insurance - Peter James
just been looking through here and after trying to find my mate insurance couldn't believe the prices some people are paying. i am not affiliated with the company am only recommending them off the good experience i have had with them. Got told to try them by my dad who has been with them for years and after getting ridiculous 4 figure quotes of other well known company's they quoted me £140 for both my '95 900ss and my '98 m750 with unlimited mileage on a classic policy and having only just got my licence thought this was amazing. i know they have recently changed their policy in that you have to have had your license for over a year but am pretty sure most people on here would be ok.
they are worth a shot anyway and just thought i would let others know. |

Yeah I have a policy through Peter James. Never had any claims experience with them though, I think that's when you find out if a company is any good. :-)

Good to hear someone getting a good deal from an insurer.
I've just bought a S4R and enquired about adding it to my existing policy, bearing in mind i only pay £90 for 3rd party F&T on a GSXR1000 they told me i had to cancel my policy and start a new "rider" policy, didn't sound too bad at first until they asked for £470 for same 3rd Party F&T. So, not wanting to line their pockets, i chose to leave the GSXR policy running, as this has my no claims i had to start from scratch, got a fully comp policy for the Monster, £200, saved myself £180, got fully comp and can comfortably give the finger to **** Turpin Insurance |

yeah i thought the same. the guy i spoke to seemed more interested in chatting about bikes than giving a quote and when i eventually got it, i had to ask again and said 'i have only just got my license are you sure thats right' like a bloomin idiot. but yeah all present and correct. although they do now seem to not cover new riders which is a shame.

My GSXR is with LV, the policy for the Monster is with Motorcycle Direct, seeing as i'm not using any no claims and its fully comp i didn't think it was too bad at all
