Hi there
Hi all,
Live in the Midlands and owned Ducati's, including a yellow S2r back in 2006. I'm saving for a red M600 or M750. I ride a 2006 Zx6 but still have the Ducati bug (and to my wifes concern the Kawasaki bug). I've booked the 1st July off to come and say hi at the Mallory track day, cheers, Tonyh |

Welcome to the club Tony, it'll be nice to meet you at the trackday.
Keep an eye on the 'for sale' section, Char has a 750 for sale I think.

Hi and welcome.
There is a red M900 for sale at the moment for about £2k? Could be an option if you sell the Kwaka?! |

Sell :-(
Made a vow that the 'kwaka' has to stay as its good to thrash on track which is the reason I have to save up. My Monster 'dream' is that it'll be standard and not taken on track.....except for once a year at Mallory of course...I'll tootle along the countryside with no back or wrist pain and take in the view.....Part 2 of the dream is to take it to the 2012 TT...but I may be getting ahead of myself!!

Mallory
Ahhh, here's my reply to Robs earlier e-mail today:
Rob, I've just joined UK Monster and as a previous Monster owner I am saving up for a winter project (Monster). I've booked 1st July off to visit Mallory as a spectator. I'll be on my zx6 so if you are short I may be able to help make the numbers up. I say 'may' as it'll take me over my track day quota and I'll need to work on my wife, cheers Tony So, in short I'll be there to spectate and if permission is granted on the spend and screaming 4s become eligible its possible I'll join in |

Bought One
Well, After my last posts I went to Cadwell Park for the first time on the ZX6r. Rode there and couldn't feel my hands for the first session....Strange but I've been doing track days for a few years and have never felt nervous, but felt strangely uneasy. On the third session as I came to the top of the mountain , saw a marshal running into view with a red flag..and was met by a bike in the middle of the (narrow) track and a guy trying to get out of the way. Managed to miss him but destroyed my confidence and I went out for 1 more session before going home - dejected. Never had any close shaves on track before. Told my wife I'd finished with track days and swapped the ZX6r for a M696. Its fab!
Anyway, I'll see you on Friday at Mallory. My brother in law thinks if there's any spaces left I'll give it a go as its a track I know well.....we'll see... |
