Milla

Milla the Monster is a 2001 900ie.

Over the lest few years I have made it a mission to go as dark as I can and make her one mean and moody looking machine...

The first obvious change is the headlight, projecter lights encased in a one off PD special glass fibre cowl, built to fit the lights as tightly as possible and snuggle into the front of the bike. Its a cross between Darth Vader and K9

Other little mods are the belly pan, original road racing aluminium chin, powder coated black.

Rearset pegs, in black of course

The radiator was painted black and the polished rad cover fitted

Clip on handlebars, powder coated black and the tasty little rizoma mirror.

Another PD special part is the tea tray, I didn't want to go down the chop route as last time I ended up chopping off 18 inches and making KYLIE, so using the shape of the bike I made the smallest and closest fitting tray I could that curls around the frame and hugs right up to the light (no space under it unlike normal).

Notice the little elephant on the belt covers, how lucky was I to get hold of a set of original BLACK cagiva covers, not the usual grey. And I don't have to worry about paint flaking off them.

In search of blaaaaaack I had the engine cases powder coated black.

And why stop there, powder coat the calipers too.

Same on the back, you can also see the powder coated alloy swingarm with gold adjuster plates. These were added too as this is officially a 'dark' and when I got the bike had a steel swingarm.

I figured after years of owning I should at least get her picture on here before I say farewell.
