Is it just me, or do all these old bikes look way to high a price ?

Hey up m8 and welcome to this club. If you liked the SV650 you will love an S2R 800, thats exactly what I did, wife hired me an SV650 for the day, after decades away from bikes, and I then bought the S2R... easy bike to ride and plenty of poke

At that price, gimme a nice, mint, low mileage, orange M750 and best part of a grand to spend on mods, any day of the week....!!!
And, no...... I don't get commission on the sale.

I totally agree

You won't beat this one, and I am not on commission either.

That orange 750 is stunning! It's certainly on my list of possibles.
This other one seems too good to be true at the price.

I'd always recommend buying what you can stretch to comfortably, and save money by not swapping bikes further down the road.
very good advice

your too kind but im a very much a pretender

that 620 is way over priced (by about £800- 1k)
you should be able to get good one with termis and a bit of bling for £ 2500 if you keep your eye out

i agree with utopia in that Chars 750 is a likely to be seriously good buy and you will have cash to spend on making it uniquely yours

It's nice, but not that cheap. As said, lots of the ones for sale at the moment are too expensive.

You can get a decent 600 for £1500 I recon (my 1st bike was a 2000 reg M600 with 3500 miles on that I paid about £1600 for 2 years ago). Sold it for over 2k but had brand new tyres, fresh service, tax, MOT etc etc with termis, and only about 8k ish on the clock if I remember?

Anyway, for 1-1.5k you can get an average/good M600, 2k plus you should look at a very good condition 750/900 (such as the orange one above), or a more modern 620/695 if you can find one. For 3k+ you get into S2R 800 range... really does depend how much you want to spend...

I really appreciate the info on pricing as I now have a gauge to go by. Everyone on this site has been really great. I can't believe how friendly you've all been to an annoying newbie.
I'm out monster shopping on Tuesday. My favourite is the orange 750 on this site but may be a little over my price range ( just bought a new car too And wifey thinks I'm too much of a speed freak to own a bike) . Ive got a feeling I'll of time on the bike and it'll probably become an obsession. Ha
