Well found and congratulations. I was told there were 750 made and 400 went to the States. The 400 tallies with you, so who knows?

There seems to be alittle uncertainty to the number produced, all I know is that my local dealer got one which I purchased and when another customer wanted one they exchanged a 1098 with another dealer to get him one. The four hundred tricolore's that went to the states all had a special individually numbered alternator cover.

I've missed 2 that I saw advertised in the UK in the past year, each one priced at over £7k with more miles on the clock. For your info, I didn't pay the buy now price after a little negotiation

I cant find any definitive info on the number built. Might have to contact Ducati directly and ask the question.

The image is of a plaque all the US bikes have on their engine case, giving the number bike out of the 400 sent over.

Got the bike today (brought down from Yorkshire by a motorcycle delivery company). It is fantastic! In fact, I was really hard pushed to find a blemish as the original owner went overboard with protection products.

Had a small issue with a flat battery (has had very little use), but that's now on a conditioner and should be fine by tomorrow.

First job is to get it checked out, so its booked into Louigi Moto for a full service and to check that everything is tight and as it should be.

All in all very pleased and certainly looking forward to the summer.

Regards

Simon

PS....They're pretty quick aren't they
