A world championship win is a world championship win.... but he must be feeling unsatisfied by the fact he's almost won by default rather then skill.... empty victory.

After looking like 2010 was going to be a fantastic year in GP it's been a bit of a let down

agree.. some of the best racing has been further down the field..so what you guys would change to make it more interesting?
My recipe is easy and no-cost:
lower RPM (17-18 K)
1000 cc
only limited TC (not GPS-linked and simple, perhaps a "standard issue" for everyone)
F1-style qualify
If you field 2 bikes in a Factory team you must give another 4 on loan (4 FT=24 bikes)
If your rider has to sit out a race due to injury you MUST replace him

Just my tuppence worth on your ideas Pomp.

lower RPM (17-18 K) - Doesn't change the power.
1000 cc - Steps on WSbk toes.
Only limited TC (not GPS-linked and simple, perhaps a "standard issue" for everyone) - There should be no electronic rider aids at all.
F1-style qualify - Qualifying should be as per F1, WSbk, BSB.
If you field 2 bikes in a Factory team you must give another 4 on loan (4 FT=24 bikes) - Brilliant idea.
If your rider has to sit out a race due to injury you MUST replace him - Again, another brilliant idea.

The only limiting factors should be engine size, no TC, AW, etc, and testing time. Everything else is completely open. This is prototype racing!

Good idea about fielding 4 non-factory bikes as a rule.
