stalling when idling
Hi folks,
When my s4 is started, it idles fine. After 5 minutes ,when it gets warm, it begins to splutter every ten seconds or so. It's like it misses and then fires again. This continues until it stalls completely. It's driving fine but today it stalled twice when i stopped and let it idle for 30 seconds or so. Any ideas? All help appreciated..I'm not very mechanically minded though so laymans terms please! Thanks Last edited by bonesaw; 19-08-2010 at 09:32 PM.. |

sounds like a dodgy stick coil, thats the spark plug cap which has the ignition coil built in to it. My S4 did the same but a 2nd hand coil for about a tenner off e bay fixed it, the one i used was off a honda cbr 600.
good luck |
