Just wanted to say Hi

Hi everyone.
I have just bought a Monster 696 after taking a 15 year break from bikes. Life got in the way.
This is my first naked bike since my first bike (Honda 400 nighthawk) and the first bike in the UK (spent 18 years in California.)
I am excited and nervous about riding in our world beating weather on standard setting roads.

Hello I did the same... rode every day for 9 years , had an off , and well my ex was worried I was going to wrap round a juggernaught or something so bikes went sometimes you have to keep the peace..

Life changed , no one to answer to so first thing I did .. brought a bike again!
Im still very unconfident .. I need to clock up miles.
Also may be worth going on a little refresher ride with an instructor.

I have just started my IAMS training as I want to get back to riding like I used to and not be so jittery.
Good luck great choice of bike ..go enjoy
Never any shame in a bit of re training!!

Hi - I did a one day refresher course with an instructor. Cost around £120 but that was 6 hours on the bike (which they provided - CB500) and a fair bit of coaching on the intercom.

I live in the Midlands. Does anyone know of a course or school that they can recommend?
