Hello from Dublin

Hi there - just picked up my M750 from a chap near Wigan, awesome bike, sound, looks and perfect for what I do - getting around the city quickly with a smile on my face. Huge grin factor! Was on ZZR600 and some sports stuff, just getting back used to upright position.

Lots of trick bits, M900 rear wheel, braided lines, new front fender (may need to change that) but all in all a good solid bike, in good solid nick.

Only one comment on the handling - do they benefit from steering dampers?
Maybe my ZZR was pedestrian but this yoke wants to fall on it's side at the merest thought of a bit of counter steer....might remove the jack up kit see if that helps?

Any thoughts?

Cheers, GS

Hi there and welcome to the forum,
You will find it a very friendly place to be and people are always willing to help if they can. Removing the jack up kit will certainly make a difference to it. They are not normally "loose" at the headstock, it may pay to check the bearings for play? Well you certainly have a lovely city to ride around in. I have been to Temple Bar on numerous occasions and keep meaning to come back again. Good luck with the Monnie.

Cheers Rally - if we could get rid of the speedbumps and potholes the place would be truly great

Quite a bit of vibe transfers through the bars too.....evens out after revs pick up but normal I'm guessing?

Anyways, cheers for the welcome

Hey there .. Is that Rob or Mr O'Donkey
750's are without any doubt the best 750 Monsters.
If the back is jacked up without raising the forks to match it'll make the steering angle smaller.. turn faster, less stable at speed. Usually when standard they're very laid back.

Enjoy Monsters are great

Neither Rob or Mr O'Donkey.....I think I'll remove the jack up kit, as you say it does seem much much faster than the ZZR600 and the Hawk/Bros I had before that!
