Tuning at Moto Rapido?
Has anyone had their bike set up/tuned at Moto Rapido? I'm in pain after having installed a Quat-D cat eliminator on my 2006 S2R 800 (stock pipes, stock ECU, stock air filter) and a couple of people have had a go at sorting it out. While to start off with it felt a bit slower under 5K rpm with a surge above that, it now feels like it is struggling through the rev range with a very small surge at 5-6K.
Spoke to MR today and they reckon they can sort it out using the stock ECU (and maybe a performance air filter) as I can't afford to chuck a lot of money at this right now. Do they have a good reputation for tuning Monsters? Tried Sigma Performance but they have sold their Ducati section to WM Snells (called there and got a sales person on the phone...technician is away this week). |

Phone back & speak to Tom in the shop, however - Snells dont have a dyno, but MR do - which are invaluable for the n'th degree in set up CK |

Tuning at Moto Rapido
HAHAHAHAHA!!! That's awesome...the sales person I spoke to got a little bit confused when I started asking technical questions. I assume this was his way of buying some time!

Just spoken on the phone - they are 'covering' for the workshop as Paul is off - and AK's got a full load this week in there & there is no time for him to communicate on the phone to customers ........seems its sedici world in there this week!
edited to add: They are quoting at least 4 weeks for workshop at the moment, just like most of the other busy reputable ones. CK |
