It's alive...again
Hi
I want to post a few pics of my 620ie Dark SD bought one year ago from Squiffy Here's the ad: http://ukmonster.co.uk/monster/showthread.php?t=27555 I can't express how happy I am right now, just got back from the first ride, the quality of the pictures is below average. This is how it looks like right now, including a few low-budget mods like: Lowered Headlight Anodized forks Modified Tea-Tray Clip Ons Modified Top Yoke No visible Cable-Ties Custom Paintjob Taper roller bearings Twin disc conversion Many blacked out parts Heated grips etc. Modding will proceed during winter Last edited by MagnaJeep; 21-02-2011 at 10:14 AM.. |

Looks great - nice work
Why (other than why not) did you lower the headlight?

Mainly for aesthetical reasons.
On one hand I prefer the look of the headlight being in line with the frame, on the other it's inevitable if you want to place the intrument cluster below the triple clamp. |

Thanks
I will be more careful, but the crash was somehow unavoidable, at least without x-ray vision. Seriously, I am now alerted to people jumping red lights. The lowered headlight mod is quite popular on another forum: http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=1050.0 I tried it occasionally, because the U-bracket was deformed anyway and the front has been disassembled. The total expense has been some kind of "stone guard" matt black paint, welding carried out by a friend. |
