Found and Bought my Project Bike!!
I finally found the right bike bearing in mind budget and wanting to start modding/project fairly gently. 1996 Red M900 with 33K on the clock - paid 800 squids. It was in much better nick than it looked in the photos the seller sent me. Rode it back from Nuneaton to N.London in lovely sunshine (except last 20 mins). Has steering damper, gold renthals and very loud Viper low levels (which I don't like so will be selling on forum and if no-one wants then ebay). Pushed it through the house and it is sitting in my back garden while concrete sealer in shed dries. I am one happy bunny - Mrs Cutters 695 has a big brother! Almost too nice to take of the road - but that was the idea and I am sticking to it Pics as soon as I have a minute and work out how... Whe-hey!!

Thanks Panther! Yep when the bloke who sold it sent me his pics the reds looked faded, but it must have just been the photo. In the flesh it's very red indeed, though not quite as dark as the 695. Very small dent in tank though, and one of the monster decals slight scratched. Thing is that one of the things I like the most about projects I have been looking at is non-standard retro inspired colours, but it seems a shame with this looking so good. Maybe I will think about frame and wheels powdercoating first....

Nice bike Pete, looks like you may have got a bargain there, although i am somewhat biased.
Mine had the gold frame, so check mine out if you are going to have yours powdercoated. G : ) |

It looks a very nice bike. I have some spare decals like panthers when I did my s4 project. I have red and black. Free to a good home.

Thanks BlueprintZ, had already checked your bike out in gallery - very nice!
Scootaboy - Yep i keep thinking that but got to stick to the plan Albie - that's great many thanks may really want those! Are these the "Monster" text stickers you have? Thing is I think these were laquered over so not sure how to fix. Course will ony matter if I go with current paint job... |

If you were going to get the tank resprayed you can text lots of ducati text's/logo's from
http://www.duccutters.com/VectorArt.tpl Which could be made up into stickers I think Albie is referring to the 'ducati' text on my footer. |

Cheers guys - I am chuffed (providing there's no nasties hiding in the engine/gearbox etc - may not find out for a while as having to put bike straight into shed mode...)
