Hello mate! I am fairly new to UKMOC too. Am going to look at a 96 M900 tomorrow, have got new big shed in back garden, tested whether bikes can get through house by pushing wife's 695 through (lighter than my CB1300 :0) ). Just looking for project bike to put in shed. Will post piccies of bike if I end up buying - fingers crossed for both of us....

t0m - I know what you mean. I saw mine before I bought it and it was fine. Then I got it back itching to having a go on a local airfield... It would not start. I was knackered since I was up early for work and it was getting late. I decided to leave it. Got a mechanic to look over it the next day (mainly because I didnt have the right size socket). He took the spark plugs out and I put a couple of new ones in. With that she started first time! And what a growl... I hope that you have a change of underpants for when you first hear that roar.
Cutter - Yeah I am in a similar situation. Don't know if I'll be able to park my bike where I want because of the monster's poor turning circle. |

Ginger - too bikes in front garden, my CB1300 and Laine's 695 monnie. Shed plan was strictly for special. But I have bought bike today and it is almost too nice for project! Will post piccies/link soon on a new thread. Got some thinking to do. Re. turning circle/problems, what about a "lazy parker" or similiar device that lets you rotate on the spot...?

Welcome Tom. I'm new to biking and my Ducati is the first bike I bought after passing my test. I absolutely L O V E it - only minor complaint is that she doesn't like queue crawling - she's built for speed!
Have lotsa fun and safe biking. Cheers Gutsy Last edited by Gutsy; 13-07-2009 at 11:31 PM.. Reason: My own name used in error |
