Hi all.Still waiting

Hi.I ordered my first Ducati,a Monster 696 in white back in January and im still waiting and have no delivery date.I see a few of you lucky ones have got your bikes.Did you all have to wait as long as me.I dont suppose any one has seen a bike in stock any where ? I havent even ridden one yet so i hope that after all this time its as good as it looks.

I haven't seen one in stock but a few dealers have been getting them in - phone them all and see ( I think Ducati Bristol had one last week but it has probably gone now).

All the early bikes were red, I understand.

However, whites are being delivered now too.

If you ordered in January, I'd certainly expect you to have taken delivery by now.

Call your dealer, call other dealers! You want this thing!

My dealer never phones me,im always chasing them,i sold my last bike so now getting very impatient.I have been in touch with a few dealers,most saying September.Bristol have never got back to me.Even looked at a KTM duke 690 instead as its in stock.Please talk me out of this.

Italia Moto in Lincoln have a 696 demo - prob won't be the white one but they def have one!

Stick out for the monster if that's what you want.
Just harrass every dealer out there and you will find one.

You could always get a red one and change the bodywork to white at a later date.

I ordered a white one in April but they arent in stock yet - looks like my delivery date is first week in July - Metropolis have a red demo bike so pop down on the train and have a go - it's fantastic!

How would you feel when you have to say, 'my bike's Austrian'.

Compare that with saying, 'my bike's Italian'.

Doesn't really compare does it?

If you're going to compromise, go for a red one, and swap the panels later.

I'm thinking a red frame with white panels would look pretty cool.

No,my dealer said end of May but have no idea when im likely to see it,i emailed a coupled of other dealers to see if any bikes in stock but they are quoteing sept for new orders.

Yes saying i have a Ducati does sound much better i know.I would be happy if they said your bike will still be another 3 weeks but having no idea at all does my head in.At least i havent seen any on the road yet.

Try a letter to Ducati UK, Sales Director, copied to their IR director in Italy or the holding company and mention the 675 alternative, you never know it may help particularly if you are supportive of your dealer so they cannot just blame him
