2008 race dates for ThundersportGB
2008 race dates at http://www.thundersportgb.com are all approved for 2008 , as below:
29 Feb Pre Season Test & Launch Day Mallory Park Test Days 16 Mar Spring Cup Mallory Park Championship Races 05 Apr J&S Accessories Earl of Oulton Oulton Park Championship Races 17 May - 18 May King of the Mountain Cadwell Park Championship Races 31 May - 01 Jun Race of the South Brands Hatch Championship Races 28 Jun - 29 Jun Race for Aces Snetterton Championship Races 27 Jul Summer Trophy Meeting Mallory Park Championship Races 23 Aug - 24 Aug Celtic Cup - Rounds 1 & 2 Pembrey Championship Races 13 Sep - 14 Sep Celtic Cup - Rounds 3 & 4 Anglesey Championship Races 18 Oct - 19 Oct Thundersport Finale Donington Park Championship Races We are aiming to be out at all the rounds, in the Junior Powerbike class with our two Ducati's - ridden by Clint & Paul (Bones). The bikes are an M800 and also a modified 620, both of which have to make no more than 80bhp at the rear wheel at post race control. The other machines may have an edge for weight (post race is 125kg) but we hope to do the best we can by using the 'Ducati' drive and mid range power. All the meetings apart from those at Mallory have a test day on the preceeding weekday for entrants (just like they do with clubs such as Bemsee) At present we dont know who/what the competition will be so are mixed with apprehension and also excitement to be taking part in such a new series, with all new classes! We understand all the rounds will be captured for showing on satellite TV (so dont bunk off work to go!) but it would be great to see some of you, if you are free to pop along to any of the meetings We are keeping our website up to date as much as we can and rider reports will be posted as soon as possible after each meeting. Roll on racing!!! AK & CK http://www.knightroadraceteam.co.uk/ Last edited by CK & AK; 03-03-2008 at 09:39 PM.. Reason: updating to separate launch event, as date now past |

I'd love to go some of the races. Are these the ones Zimbo races in as well?
Stupid question but is it free to spectate, or do you pay some token amount like a fiver/tenner to get in?

Cheers Scrumpster.
Hopefully we can arrange for a few UKMOC's to meet up and have a ride out to one of the race dates. Anyone up for this?

HH - these aren't the rounds that Zimbo is doing, he is (as is also Gilps Team) racing with New Era.
That said, we'd love to see any of you at the rounds we are doing with the 2 x Monster 800's Albie - not a good day mate, due to mech probs with one bike (all fixed now) so after taking the bikes for a power run each later this week we hope to be on course for the following weekend to race on Sunday 16th, doing a TD on the Sat there |
