Yorkshire area - mechanic
Do you other Yorkshire folk have anyone you can recommend to look at my 2001 S4 in or around the South Yorks area? I've had the bike almost 3months, and seem to be having trouble going into first. Pull clutch in and press gear down only goes part way and i need do it again to get it to clunk! I've adjusted chain - its just about on its last legs i think so could just be that... but i could do with knowing a good mechanic who knows ducatis anyway for future servicing etc.
Any advice? thanks Chrissi |

Hello Mate,
Ducati John is your man - http://www.ducati-john.co.uk A load of us use him - Top quality service and a friendly guy to boot (a quick forum search will bring up plenty of praise for his work) He's based in Rothwell. Cheers Macca |

thanks Macca - he looks good and is pretty close.
i think i'm a bit paranoid - hearing clunks and rattles all over the place (which i know is a bit of a trait with ducatis!) just want to get her checked out & make sure she's ok. Hopefully its just the chain that's shagged! Chrissi Last edited by ducrissi; 24-08-2007 at 11:50 AM.. |

Credit where it is due
Just got the big 15k service done by Ducati John,
Very generous with his time and knowledge, a top bloke! That’s the first time I have handed over a big wad of cash to a mechanic and felt I was getting a great deal, In the Ducati world of costly and frequent servicing he is a good ally... |

he's spot on - takes his time but knows his stuff and is already more like a friend than 'just a mechanic!'
