Service Recommendations in North West or East Mids??
Hi All
My Monster 600 has just clocked up 12,000 miles and I think I need me belts changing (I last had them done at 6,000, not long after I got the bike). It doesn't need the full service - I can change oil, filters, etc myself. Last time I had the belts done I used a Ducati dealer in St Neots (lived in Cambridge at the time) and he charged me £137 for a belt change and check over, which I thought was reasonable (yeah - I know the belts only cost £17 or so). Just looking for a recommendation for a decent servicing outfit, either an official Ducati dealer or an independent in my area. I guess it's probbaly not worth the extra cost of going to a Ducati dealer to maintain the FDSH, as the bike is probably worth b*gger all anyway. It's a 1998 on an S plate. I live in High Peak, Derbyshire. Stockport is 20 miles away, Manchester is 25 (Ducati Manchester at Lymm is about 30-odd miles from me I think). Sheffield is 25 miles, Derby about 50(?) or so. Leeds 45 miles (but a pain in the *rse to get to). Recommendations please? Thanks as always James |

Italsport in Bury, Ducati Manchester (which is nearer Warrington), Ducati Leeds in Shipley or try Ducati John. I think he has a place in Rotheram now.

Duh..
Oh I see - I thought that it was some sort of special deal down there, Polish mechanics or something. yeah, I guess my £17 figure is a bit wide of the mark, but whatever, the belts themselves are cheap, getting them fitted is not.
Thanks again all J
