EOBD light! Help!!!!
Hello all,
Just bombing down the A12 when my EOBD light came on (the one with what looks like a picture of an engine) it stayed on for a couple of minutes, went out and then twenty minutes later came on and stayed on for another 5 or 6 minutes and then went out. It's a Monster695 - 2k miles on the clock and it had its first service 1k ago. I've done about 3 hours of riding today with a few hours inbetween each hours riding so my bums numb too but I dont need any help with that. Any ideas what it means??? |

I thought it just came on when the immobiliser/key senso circuit had gone live and turned off the ignition pack. Obviously doesn't though as the bikes running at the time.
I suspect that you'll find someone else here has (a) had this happen to them and (b) will relate what it meant in their case. I'd think it's a visit the dealer time.

Have you checked the battery terminals? The same happened on my hypermotard, and the terminals had worked loose - (but it is now a known problem on HYMs,)
