Hi

I have just passed my test and am looking for a Monster (probably a 600)

My name is Richard I am 26 and and live in Maidenhead (which is near Slough/Reading)

Anyway I just wanted to say hi and I am going to post in the wanted section now for a monster. Hopefully wont be too long!

Welcome Richard and hope you find your monster soon - there are a few out there and no doubt you'll be on two wheels very soon! Hope you get a bargain as summer's been so crap there will no doubt be some rather good deals around!!!

Well done on passing the test! 2nd hand market is cheap as at the moment.

Hello and welcome.

There are some decent Monsters out there at the moment.
Just take your time and you will find the right one.

If you have passed your full test and don't need it restricting, don't limit yourself to a 600 - a 750 or a 900 will do a good job and won't be too scary for a new rider.

I would love a 750 or a 900, but they all seem to be out of my price range. I only have about £1500 to spend which puts me in the 600 bracket.

I have always loved the Monster since the first moment I saw it, and it will look good next to my friends 748!

I didnt even think about anything more than a 600, but you guys got me thinking!

I have seem one for £1650 with 14000 miles on the clock. Seems ok.

I always use www.parkers.co.uk to check if a bike is reasonably priced for it's age and condition.

Keep looking and take your time, don't just buy the first one you see just coz you're itching to get out there on one

My first bike was a M600 but I found it wasn't torquey enough through the gears for me, so changed the sprocket which was a bit better but then I lost the top end, hence I've upgraded.
