Spotted a rather wet yello Monnie on our return with the bike in the van - rider was booting it along in the fast lane, wearing black and looked quite a tall fella.

Left Nottingham at 1430 and finally made it to Exeter at 2100!

Would've been quicker in a boat. At least I made it through though. A lot of the cars were stranded all night. Filtering through traffic for the whole of the M42 and down the M5 to Gloucester in the pi$$ing rain was no fun at all

Still, the return leg today was better (even though my speedo cable snapped and the fuel warning light came on & off at random all the way)
