Question?

i was out on sunday round wales and when i got home i noticed i had a broken headlight lens, since then i have been told that the heat from the light could have cracked the lens (makes sense as there isnt a chip or mark on the outer surface just the crack) so i just thought someone on here would know if its coverd under warrenty and if not how much are thay?

thanx

Probabley not. Do a search on the forum. MOTOBINS a BMW supplier do the identical one for BM's from memory was only about £20 including the rubber seal. I am sure I put the details in a previous thread.............

I think the monster is the same as the R60...

Just found some info posted by JR..... Hope it helps. For your info it is easy to change.. Make sure you get a new seal at same time as glass.

I replaced my lens a couple of weeks ago. Purchased from MOTO-Bins Ltd Part Number 80200 H/Light Lens (including rubber seal) Large BMW twins 1974 £19 plus £1.65 carriage, plus VAT 3.61 Total Paid £24.26. The lens , the markins etc, etc are exactly the same as the one that came off the bike.
E Mail sales@motobins.co.uk.

Got the info off Pedro who has also used Moto-Bins Ltd

Give motobins a calls they are quite helpful. You will find on the headlight glass the manufacturers part number, ask them to check this against the 80200 H/Light Lens to ensure it is the same. JR's headlight was for a M1000 which is identical to the S2R's.....

Once you have it it will take about 20 minutes to swap.......

10 minutes..... Bet you got it pointing upside down

Glad it helped.... From Ducati you have to buy the whole headlight which is a silly price.
