Hi guys... glad I've found you!

Hi all, random person on Facebook (Nik the Brief?) sent me a message about you guys.

I've recently bought a Monster 695, just finished the first 550 miles and loved every single ne.

Might not be the weather for biking but I've not been put off.

Good to find a group of like minded people, look forward to wasting many an hour in work reading through the forums!

I work as a Consultant and spend most of my life on the roads, mainly in the car.

The other half is getting a lid and leathers for Christmas, her request, as she can't wait to get on the back!

Hi Lou/Jim,

Welcome, great choice of bike. How about posting some pics?

I bought my 695 in July & have now covered almost 1200 miles - mine's a weekend toy too. I also have to spend the week using the company car.
I've added the Ducati carbon nose fairing to mine & I'll be adding the Termi kit at the next service. I've had a lot of bikes, mainly larger capacity stuff, but the Monster is tops for fun!

Likewise, I spend so long in the car it's just a work horse now, the 695 has re awakened my love of the road again!

I got mine pretty standard, just standard nose fairing as I'd be doing a few motorway miles. Got plans though, would like to do most of it myself, renting a garage behind my house and slowly kitting it out.

Was tempted to add n loads of things at purchase but it kind of takes the fun out of seeing the improvement and the sense of accomplishment when you finally get the thing working!

Not actually got pics of me on it yet, waiting for my other half's leathers to come through so she can come out with me, try and get some nice cornering shots (She's in to her photography). Will post them up when we've managed it!

Howdi from Colchester. Although I don't have a monster anymore (But still on Ducatis), I'll still be up for rideouts once the weather improves. :-)

Hi and welcome! If you venture as far north as Norfolk on a rideout I'm sure Nonnie and the rest of us will arrange a meet up.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I clock up about 30,000 miles a year in the car, so love going long distance on the bike, although last time I was up Norfolk way was on a boat on the broads years ago!

Looking to get the 695 fully ridden in before summer, a bit nippy at the moment! Will look forward to finally having a ride out with other people!

Hey Jim,

Welcome to the club, fella. Will find some good banter and plenty of helpful tips/advice on here.

Enjoy the bike!
