new biker & new monster to the roads!!
'ello all
just thought i would say hi to all got the DAS a few weeks ago, used to ride a scooter a few years ago picked up me monster on friday, just spent the week buying bits for it R&G crash bungs bagster for the tank lub for the chain (was told the chain was so shiny that i could see my face in it!) soon to buy a tank bag and a lock! bike is a 695, on a 56 plate (but called a 2007 model, which apprarently reduces my servicing costs??), in black, love it! by the way, i phoned around, spoke, and saw a few suppliers by far, alex at Daytona King's X was the best, reasonable pricing, very helpful (i only write this for any new comers to monster world, who maybe based in london) no doubt will add to the forum in due time cheers Last edited by chudies; 08-08-2007 at 11:07 PM.. |

Welcome Chudies,
Bike looks good in the custom matt black paint. Alex at Daytona is sometimes on this site, known as CHAOS INC. There are also loads of 695 owners on this site and plenty who have had the bike for a while so they'll be happy to help. I only sold mine recently. And there are quite a few people out your way too so i you wanted to catch someone for a ride out I'm sure there'll be around. Enjoy yourself.

Welcome. As JP says, the 695 is an excellent bike. Great choice - I just read an article in Bike magazine that compared the 695 to Jap 'budget' bikes; the new bikers riding them didn't understand it at all.
I'm just over in Kingston but there are plenty of guys around the area. PM me if you want a chat about the bike anytime. J.
