I've just looked at the images of the three Ali arms I still have for sale:
http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=59456 One of the images shows one with a decal that depicts a Monster/851 type arm, one has a decal with an SS type arm, and one has no decal.

I cant blow them up enough to read the numbers. But it would appear, in best Italian parts bin assembly style, anything goes. Thanks for looking

My Monster has a braced swingarm, probably 851/888 racing? (it had the old style hugger brackets although I cut them off and fitted the rivnuts to suit a later hugger) it doesn't have the sticker fitted but I also have a standard, unbraced swingarm with a non-braced, Monster sticker.

Sorry, im not familiar with braced and unbraced terms. The 95 M900 in the video has the same swinging arm as mine ...This is what you call unbraced? Yet it has a "braced" sticker, I can just see that.
Desmo I see your unbraced S/A and unbraced sticker, but the noted play of 20-25mm is incorrect, (factory manual says 30mm, as the braced decal). What I have not seen yet , here or in my trawls of Google is a decal with an unbraced S/A drawn, 30mm play and side stand noted, which would be correct. I think perhaps it doesnt exist and the closest is Braced, 30mm and sidestand Oh Jesus what have I started here

Bracing on a Monster/851/888 swingarm is underneath rather than on top (like an SS), like this;
For the record, I set mine with at least 30mm play, a loose chain is a happy chain (within reason).

Sorry, now looking properly in decent light with my bins cleaned and on I can see and understand braced and unbraced.
Anyway as I say I dont think the unbraced/30mm/side stand sticker exists. I suppose I could really f**k up anyone who hadnt read this thread and get one printed!!!!!🤣🤣🤣

I believe you're right in thinking that it's a mythical beast - the only 30mm plain swinging arm one I've seen is the centre stand version. I'd go for the eBay repro or maybe contact "classicmotorcycledecals". They already do three other Ducati chain labels so it shouldn't take much to produce the one you want. At least you have a clear reference from the eBay listing.

Its all a bit wierd though. If one was trying to be authentic then I suppose you should apply the same "wrong" sticker that they put on in the factory!

Got him! Well as close as Im going to get and only £4 or £5.
It is not strictly correct since its listed as a part for Monster 900 i.e. 2002 Part No 43312911A I have ordered from Snells , but it is shown on the SD site as "Delay possible" and the last item like that I tried to get has remained on back order for months, so I may still be out of luck. If it is unavailable, I will get my sign guy to make one, if I can get at least one other person interested. It will be £25 for set up and a run of 10, so they will be available starting at £13 and going down depending on how many people would want one.

I wonder how many variants of these there were. Out of curiosity I checked the one on my '02 S4 and it was similar to the one above (correct swing arm) except it was quoting 27mm to 30mm!

If you can't get the genuine article, wouldn't it be cheaper to buy the eBay replica from Italy. At £10, even with postage and possible import duties, it should be cheaper than your printer's set up fee.

My first reading of it was 30mm +/- 32mm, which gives a pretty huge acceptable range of 62mm down to -2mm. The bar taught tension fit seemed improbable though, so I decided it more likely meant an acceptable range of 30 to 32mm!
