"Now call me crazy but"
Can I join you in the crazy corner - that's exactly what I see (or rather, don't see). Never been able to find it, just tried again and still can't. Jerry, sorry about hijack, let us know how you get on with your exhaust - I can't even get the clamp to loosen on my M1000, nut comes off but the clamp then remains corroded into the fully clamped position. Heat (lots of) looks like the next step

Dacs, you're crazy...
The line you guys are looking for is missing on a lot of your profiles. It was missing from mine, but Slob kindly intervened a couple of years ago and added that particular permission, I think it also activates some others at the same time? Re the exhausts; I think S/S has a tendency to weld itself together? I know that nuts and bolts can "gall" and seize. I watched my brother spin a nut down a piece of threaded rod once, it stopped and would not turn again. In the finish it snapped the rod when we gave it some welly with a vice and spanner! Maybe if the pipes were a tight fit on assembly, they galled when they were belted together? I know that's not very promising regarding their separation! I always leave my rear pipe firmly bolted to the head and then gently rock the front pipe from side to side to ease it off, but it's not seized and knows it's way off now anyway, but I still think that's the best way to hold it and apply force.

Now I'd be happy to adopt that as my Custom User Title But I can't access it

Hmmm,
Apparently you're not crazy (you're all &*£"ing crazy) looks like custom user titles are disabled by default and I'm b*ggered if I can see where the setting is, so it has to be done on a per user basis. Try now Jez. Sorry for the hijack Jerry, just stop messing about and pull 'em apart! Last edited by slob; 02-05-2020 at 05:00 PM.. |

Now I'm not sure when you made the change, but today was the first time I noticed it, and I'm pleasantly surprised! Thank you.
