You can't beat a good coffin tank RD, the white/red 400 was my favourite one.

I had a feeling you would end up buying it before long
I actually considered an RD or LC Yamaha as a track day bike prior to opting for the NC30. But even complete basket cases cost an absolute fortune

To be fair I am selling 2 not only to make room but I was also going to swap it for the yellow german fizzy. I never wanted too but carolines face dropped very sad looking.

love it
I love a coffin tank RD they are totally sublime, if it was mine I would leave "as is" and keep it clean and tidy, most bikes are ruined by restoration, ride fettle enjoy. I particularly love the red and white RD400. I've had most of the RD, 200, 250, 350 LC etc in my misspent youth. I had a Stan Stephens tuned 350LC with a set of TZ exhausts back in 87, it was much more antisocial than my monster with Termis, not helped by the fact that it was almost unrideable under 6000RPM
I am very jealous of your RD Russell |

I can assure it wont be being lightened ,blinged with light alloy or carbon or graphics. The only thing it may get if I feel the need, is expansion chambers IF I choose too. The condition is good enough to leave alone but only thing wrong is that it has a Honda front brake master because the seals went on the Yamaha one but will be doing them and the seat cowl needs a repaint due to the lacquer making the decal bleed when his painter painted it. Minor but like looking at a scab on your face.
Thanks for the positives and long may the older bikes be survivors of the throwaway society we live in. I have a good friend with a passion for bigger 2 strokes who can keep me company.
