Unusual headlamp.. Can you identify?
Rac3r is trying manfully to fit a 7" LED unit into his Monster. Unfortunately my adapter kit has not worked as this does not appear to be a normal metal Bosch rim and shell.
The shell is ABS and does seem to bear a Ducati trademark? The rim has no rolled edge to hold wire clips, rather has inward facing tabs for screws. I think this needs a metal subframe to support a 7" unit? The aperture in the rim is 180mm. This is too small for a Bosch unit and too large for a 7". Please can anyone identify the shell and rim? Could anyone also please indicate if there is a sub-frame which would allow a 7" unit to be installed? Rac3r's rim against a Bosch. ![]() Note two holes in the shell to screw the rim in place via the tabs. ![]() ![]()
