TPS Reset for a 2012 696+
Good morning,
I hope everyone is keeping well in these odd times. I dare say we are all doing the same thing at the moment and getting our bikes out to run for 15 mins every now and again to keep them ticking over and doing all those jobs we’ve been putting off. Now my 696 has has a bit of a problem since I bought it last year. When giving her some revs (more when in N) she sounds quite ropey....a bit ‘spluttery’ and sometimes even dies after a handful. I don’t really notice it much when out riding unless I’m downshifting and blip the throttle (I know I don’t need to). It feels to me like a fuelling issue and possibly an issue with the TPS? I wonder whether the previous owner had termis on her and took them off to sell and maybe put the old ECU back in? The bikes only done 5300 miles and is a 2012. Any advice would be greatly received. Thanks in advance, Yan |
