Sunday's Run Out.

Ok guys, the dust has settled ,and we can now announce Sunday's activity.
We have a pitch booked at the Imperial War Museum,Duxford, for their spring car show ( bikes are welcome) under the UKMOC.
The show is held inside the museum's ground around the main hangers, over 1000 entrants are expected on the day!
There is a reduced entrance fee from£19.00 to £13.00. This includes entrance to the museum for the day.
To participate in the day, either with the ride in from Sharnbrook, or to join in at Duxford, please apply for your ticket via the attached link, go to car shows and enter the promo code SCS18.
https://www.iwm.org.uk

I have also copied part of the mail sent to my by the museum outlining how to purchase your tickets.

How to book tickets.
1. Visit the What’s on page at https://www.iwm.org.uk
2. Book tickets
3. Enter the Promo Code:SCS18
4. Follow the on screen prompts
5. Download tickets
6. Email duxfordcorporate@iwm.org.uk with your eticket to obtain a vehicle display permit.
7. Bring your tickets and vehicle display permit with you on the day.

I live locally, so hopefully the route I'm planning to travel to Duxford will be part of a great day out. Personally I've been visiting Duxford for over 30 years and feel it's one of the best ' living' aircraft museums in the world.
I would anticipate leaving Sharnbrook at approx 9.30am on the Sunday aiming to arrive at Duxford for around 10.30am.Those who are joining us for the
day, please plan arriving at least 15mins before hand.
As the hotel has offered to lay on a barbeque in the late afternoon, plus we have the annual judging plus award ceremony, I would aim to leave the show no later than 4pm. If we come back the quick route, travel time is approx 40mins.
Once your ticket is booked, please add your name to the list I've started in another thread.

Here's to a great weekender!

Grumpy.
