Hi all
Hi everyone.
I just thought I would say Hi as I have just bought a 1994 M600 after about 5 years without a road bike. The last one (of 25 or so) was an FZR1000 EXUP. I'm nearly 50 years old with 27 years in the saddle on and off. I bought the Monster without an MOT for £900 which I thought was a bit of a bargain. It's only done 7500 miles and this is born out by the stack of MOTs I got with the bike. I will be putting quite a few more on it as I work 40 miles from home. It needed new fork seals and speedo cable, so I fitted them yesterday - easy job. It also had a seized choke cable - bitch of a job! Those carbs are a tad inaccessible are they not? After fixing those and changing the brake fluids I took it for a spin and it was fantastic. It's great to be back on a bike and the Monster is a terrific bit of kit. But you all know that already. I now need to reduce the idle speed, but finding the adjuster is a task in itself with the airbox fitted. MOT is booked for this afternoon so fingers crossed. TTFN Glen. |
