First Monster (1200 r)
Hi, my second bike was a Ducati 848 Evo which i loved but which i traded in for a Monster 1200 R which I've now had for a couple of weeks. Absolutely LOVE this bike! Taking it on a Euro tour in July and can't wait to spend lots of time on the road with it

Welcome along and glad you're enjoying the new bike.
I've been doing a little Euro jaunt on my old '97 900 every year for a few years now and love it. This years is a little different as taking a ferry to Cherbourg to explore Brittany instead of the Dover Calais tunnel route I've done previously. Where are you planning on visiting?

Hello and welcome, I'm loving the R too, after 45 odd years of riding bikes it's the best road bike I've ever ridden, going to test it at Donington in the morning :-D

Hi, Welcome.
I also love my R. Reminds me most of my Monster900 flick-able and fun but way more power. For now there is none better..... Enjoy.

don’t know how experienced you are on bikes?
go gently, r is a awesome beast. std. tyres not ideal for road (don’t worry, bike will eat them in a few 1000 miles) |

My 1200R absolutely rocks, best road bike I’ve ridden in 30 years! Bought mine on recommendation from Slob and MotoNik, so I blame them for my debts....
BTW - are you Dubcat on the Ducati Forum?

Took my monster for my first motorcycle tour. We went via France to the Picos mountains in Spain. 2000 miles in a week and my riding has improved dramatically. The bike was amazing at all times. I’m so happy with it!
