Hose Clamps
Anyone know of any reasons why I shouldnt use these W4 clamps on my Samco hoses - apart from they dont do one small enough for the long narrow hose

Not really NO. I got my hoses from Bitz for Bikes and they sent a complete Stainless set of clips for a good price too. Think they were around a tenner plus hoses £85 I think.

No no no no no.
There is only one hose clip you want, and that is those I fell in love with at NCR. Considering fitting a radaitor to mine just so I need some hose clips. Cheers Stuart |

Go for it Charlotte the S/S hose clips will be a nice finishing touch.

At $55.00 a pop would have thought you could have chosen a customer colour...

I would have them already but the grooves are cut all the way through like slots and that is bad for silicon hoses as they are quite soft on the outside and squish through the slots, the act of tightening causes the slot to move and this can tear the hose.
I'm talking to the manufacturer to get him to make a duplicate of the stainless worm drive clamp. For the same reason I would not recommend the mikalor clamp, they have square edges which will cut into the hose. The clamps sold by Samco have rolled edges to prevent this. |
