Rally's M1100S. Progress so far...............
Having ridden the new Evo 1100 on the MCN test it made me realise how more civilised a new Monster is compared the S4Rs I already had. Loving the colour scheme of mine so much, the search was on for an 'S' version with Ohlins forks and a red frame. After much searching I found one.
Day 1. Collection from Essex. After 3 days in red, I was kindly offered a swop to Pearl white by a certain 'Mr Carbon'. The foundation of the 'Changing of the Colours Club begins!' The two side by side. The next stage was to strip it down and get some satin black powder coating done. Also a good opportunity to give it a good clean. Black it is, plus loose the fairing and add some carbon bits. On goes the new QD Maxcone pipe, carbon hugger, new clutch flywheel and cover. Last edited by Rally; 15-10-2011 at 01:02 PM.. |

Question; Wheels are next but I can't decide. Black, white like the S4Rs or gold to match the forks?

I had a White 1100s with the black frame, the combination never really worked for me, I always wondered what it would look like with a red frame, now I know........the dogs !

I like the champagne/bronze wheels. Swap for my 5 spoke whites if they fit?

Looking good mate. See you gone naked at the front too like me. Offered my panels pestered me more like. Bribed me with dinner and drink but it was nice.

It was a good meal and a nice walk as well. I do prefer the front like it is although it does blow a bit more at speed. It's surprising how much that small screen keeps off. |

These look a good deal if you're thinking of going more carbon: http://www.biker-discount.co.uk/duca...els-2541-p.asp
I vote for black wheels. |

Gold Wheels. I saw a picture of a Multi with wheels to match the forks and it looked really nice.

That bike was supplied by DM and I delivered it to the customer, it looked the "DOG'S".
Now Alun to keep your twin twins theme you've got to go for white wheels...I've always thought that colour combo looked best... I know white is hard to keep clean but your a polished git so it won't be a problem.. |
