7 year rebuild now complete!
Stripped in 2012, moved and renovated a house and now seven years later i fired-up the rebuilt bike today. Was great to hear it running again!
Started as a bit of a mess when I stripped it. I recall Lima071 kindly coming over to help me remove a siezed front engine bolt. Wouldnt even move with a club hammer. Had to cut out and drill out in the end. (Thanks Lima071 your help that day was most welcome. Thought you'd never see it running again i bet!) First start video. Hope this link works |

Am i correct that it's only possible to load jpg images of 34k? If that's the case i'm not able to reduce my file size to that. So sorry to have wasted your time guys with this thread

Hi, congrats on rebuild, you need to use a hosting site to get photos up here, try searching the forum for "postimage" for how-to

Very Nice. Tastefully done to very high standard..
Why have you swapped the front pot valve covers round? Does the mudguard hit the oil cooler?

Cheers guys, has been a labour of love and most enjoyable. The oil cooler needs relocating as soon as i get the correct length hoses. Long story but lesson learnt to not trust well established companies when ordering "standard length" hoses!

Had you considered fitting Hypermotard oil lines? It tidies up the timing side no end and makes it easier to get the belt covers off. All the info here.. http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ight=oil+lines You can go further, and make up a starter cable 700mm long, which can be routed over the engine and down the left side to the starter, rendering it almost invisible.
